Motorcycle Training Courses

Chris O'Brien offers motorbike lessons in Wexford and south-east Ireland. Training courses are available for riders preparing for their motorcycle test and for more advanced riders who wish to improve their skills and safety on the road.

School bikes are available.

These eight-hour courses, consisting of four two-hour lessons, are highly structured to ensure you gain the maximum knowledge and skill level.

The following structured motorcycle training courses are available:

Motorcycle Test Preparation

This is an eight hour course of instruction divided into two hour modules.
Each module covers specific training needs:

  • Moving off & stopping, observations and slow manoeuvering
  • Braking and use of speed
  • Left turns, right turns and cornering
  • Observation, anticipation and hazard management

Intermediate & Advanced Level Test Preparation

This course prepares the rider for the I.A.M. Advanced Test and ROSPA Advanced Test.
The modules cover the following training:

  • Information needs
  • Position
  • Speed
  • Acceleration and hazard management

Chris O' Brien has been training motorcyclists for twelve years. He is based in County Wexford.

He is a registered instructor with the I.R.T.A and I.D.I.R., and is an AON Bike Care Assessor and Quinn Direct Rider Skills Insurance Assessor.
